As a lifelong surfer, diver, and white-water rafter, I have a deep love and respect for our oceans and rivers. Recently, I have found great joy in taking family, friends, and clients on sailing adventures around the world.

I grew up in Santa Barbara where I learned to surf as a kid and began my lifelong love of the ocean. Throughout the years I’ve been fortunate to go surfing, diving, and boating on both the US East and West coasts, Europe and North Africa, Mexico and Hawaii, Central America, the South Pacific, and more.

I earned a degree in Solar Technology in Santa Cruz, and my BS in Industrial Technology in San Luis Obispo CA. After graduation, I started my career in the Silicon Valley and had a fantastic run in the “Tech” industry, working for Sun Microsystems. It was there I met my wife and we started a family in the Santa Cruz Mountains. We raised 2 wonderful kids, a son 26 and a daughter 22, who I see every chance I can. In 2018, I “retired” and taught Computer Science and Robotics at San Lorenzo Valley High in Felton, CA.

On a sailing trip to Catalina Island that I decided I wanted to learn everything I could about sailing and to eventually buy a live aboard. I took every opportunity, sailing with friends and completing ASA classes in Santa Cruz CA and Sausalito CA. I completed ASA classes 101, 103, 104, 105, 114, and Diesel engines, First Aid and CPR. I spent 2 summers in the USVIs and BVIs chartering monohulls and catamarans, while looking for a boat of my own

In 2022 I found and fell in love with Sailing Vessel La Boheme, a 2017 (2018 model) Lagoon 400 S2 in Annapolis MD, where I purchased her and began my life at sea. Since then I have sailed from Annapolis to the southern most islands of the Caribbean, the ABCs and Panama, and many amazing locations in between.

After several years of cruising solo, and with family and friends, and occasional charter Captain opportunities, I have decided to expand my business and am now offering services for hire: Private Charters aboard La Boheme, Captain for Hire for clients who own or charter their yachts, and Yacht Delivery
